I want to personally thank you for visiting the site. As you may know, this weekend, March 27th,
at 10:00 a.m., we will be conducing the first Cross Walk of Jacksonville at Peace Missionary Baptist Church on 1759 Rowe Ave.
The event will begin promptly at 10:00 and will show the Cross: The Aruthur Blessitt Story, and after a 30 minute devotional
and prayer begin to walk in the community. The walk will follow Rowe Ave to Gainesville to Edgewood and then Lem Turner.
We will be praying and witnessing during the walk to let the City of Jacksonville know the Cross is not against them! it is
for them and it is God's love, hope, and peace and redeeming grace available to all who believe in Him. All are invited
to attend. There will be drinks and food after the event. I will give out to those attending "Everyone's
Way of the Cross." Of course, the REDS that Arthur handed out on his walk will be provided to those whom we meet.
Please pray for us and our mission to take the Cross back to the places that Arthur first carried the cross when he began
his journey 40 years ago.
I am currently working on a book entitled "Finding Bethel."
I have a workbook available with discussion outline that will enable your group to participate in a bible study. There is
also available a version for teenagers which will greatly change lives. As a former youth pastor, I understand the need
for our children to connect with God--not religion or a particular text. God is real and we are to seek Him first and
he will be found. Yet, too often, we are unable to find him. Like Jacob, he was a fugitive on the run, unable
to return to his own home. Then, he stumbled onto a rock at Bethel and found the source of all life, the God of Abraham
and Isaac revealed himself to him. Jacob began a spiritual journey that would take him to Padan-aram, to reuinte briefly
with Esau, across the ford at Jabbok, to Shechem, and ultimately back to Bethel. Through it all, Jacob-the first prodigal
son-left his father's house for a far away country and returned home.
Every spiritual journey
has a fundamental nature and divine order, which consists of several stages. As we come to understand the journey's
nature, it will greatly assist us in pursuing our indvidiual journey to know Christ as the risen Lord and to complete our
journey. Finding Bethel is a book about spiritual journey's and about dwelling in the house of God forever. Much
like David, he sought above all things to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. If this is your desire, you will find
this site useful to attaining that goal.
I also believe this site will help lead the discussion
critical to keeping you moving forward on your journey--even when tragedy and unexpected setbacks occur. God is patiently
waiting for your return. So arise, Go back to Bethel. He waited for Jacob and he will wait for you as well.
